Greetings! I'm Ted, the maker behind Ted's Eccentric Designs®. My crafting journey really took off during the lockdowns of the Covid-19 pandemic. Like so many, I was searching for a creative outlet to fill the extra time. However, I quickly discovered that my patience runs thin for projects that require a lot of waiting around – bread making, I'm looking at you!

Instead, I was immediately drawn to the process of creating with lasers. The ablation of the laser on various materials allows me to precisely carve out space, creating a unique absence in the design. That absence in design creates a wonderful litany of ideas and products, allowing for customization and detail that is sometimes hard to find these days. This allowed me to see more immediate results and keep my hands busy.

Over time, this passion evolved into creating and customizing with woods, acrylics, stones, and even shells! With such a wide variety of materials to work with, the design possibilities are truly endless. From delicate seashell dishes to personalized wooden spoons, from 3D printed fidget toys to striking Lightning symbol coasters – the ideas just keep coming. At Ted's Eccentric Designs®, I pour my energy into crafting items that really show you in the product, whether it's beautifully monogrammed favors for your wedding guests or uniquely designed cake toppers to proudly display your beloved pets!
